The Wheels on the Bus

We came back to school after our nice weekend and it was a lot warmer.  Everything is very wet outside and we had to stay indoors.

We played with the blocks today.  Mrs. Myers had us all help to build a big, tall skyscraper.  We all worked together.  It was hard, but we did it.  We also played with Snow Dough.  What is that?  It is a lot like Play Doh only it is white.  We had googly eyes and pipe cleaners.  Guess what we made with it?  We made snowmen.  We also played with the little Magna Doodles.

Our story was called "The Wheels on the Bus".  It was kind of neat because it had sounds that went with the story.  When the wheels went round and round, there was a button to push and we could hear the wheels.  There were buttons for the wipers, the kids going up and down and one more thing.  What was that?  We reviewed some of our old songs today.  That is fun trying to remember them.

Our snack was from Maddie.  We had applesauce and cheese sticks.  Mmmm.  Thank you, Maddie.  On Tuesday we had blueberries and pretzels for snack.  Thank you, Evelyn.  After we had everything cleaned up from snack we played in the main room.  Our Art today was so cool.  We each had a big box with handles in it.  There was a piece of paper inside of the box.  Then we each got a couple of marbles.  Mrs. Myers squirted some paint onto our paper and guess what we were supposed to do?  We had to roll those marbles through the paint.  We shook our boxes like crazy trying to get those marbles to roll.  You have to tilt them every which way and sometimes the marbles get stuck in the paint.  A couple of times the marbles popped right out of the boxes, but we got them.  That was fun.

Tuesday brought something new to the main play room.  There was a ball track that we got to use.  The Kindergarten Readiness class is studying about balls and they have this very cool track set up.  It sort of looks like a neat water slide.  We took some marbles and rolled them down the track.  There was a big line for that toy!
